A true Christian follows Jesus Christ and holds these eight essential beliefs:

1. The existence of God as the supreme Creator of all life and the universe. This belief is foundational and incompatible with evolutionary theory.

2. Jesus Christ was God in human form - the divine Word who communicated with mankind in the Old Testament before becoming flesh (John 1:1-3, 14).

3. Christ's sacrificial death for humanity's sins and His resurrection after three days and nights. His sacrifice enables forgiveness of sins, and His resurrection provides hope of eternal life.

4. Love as the defining characteristic of Christians, demonstrated through genuine concern for others as described in 1 Corinthians 13.

5. The entire Bible, both Old and New Testaments, as God's inspired Word that should guide Christian living (2 Timothy 3:16-17).

6. Worship of God according to His instructions, including observing the weekly Sabbath and annual biblical festivals rather than adopting non-biblical religious practices.

7. The necessity of both faith and works - salvation is God's gift through grace, but true faith produces righteous works and obedience to God's commandments.

8. Complete life transformation through conversion - abandoning sinful ways to live according to God's standards of righteousness and holiness (Ephesians 4:22-24).

True Christianity requires more than just church membership or verbal profession of faith - it demands total commitment to living God's way of life as revealed in Scripture.
