Called to Serve as Kings and Priests in God's Kingdom
Jesus Christ's sacrifice and resurrection paved the way for His eventual return as King of Kings and Lord of Lords (Revelation 11:15; 19:16). Through His blood, believers are not only forgiven but are being prepared for crucial leadership roles in God's coming Kingdom.
His followers are being trained as "kings and priests" (Revelation 5:10) to assist in administering God's government on earth. This leadership model differs from worldly authority, as Jesus taught that true leadership means serving others (Matthew 20:25-28).
Current faithfulness in small responsibilities serves as preparation for greater future roles in God's Kingdom (Matthew 25:21). This process of preparation demonstrates God's plan to establish a government that genuinely serves humanity's best interests.
The combination of royal and priestly roles shows that God's future government will unite both civil and spiritual leadership under Christ's authority, creating a just and righteous administration for all people.
