Even a 210 IQ Can't Solve Death's Greatest Mystery
Death and consciousness after death have puzzled humanity for centuries. While various theories exist, including those from highly intelligent individuals like Chris Langan (IQ 190-210), the biblical perspective offers clear answers about what happens when we die.
According to the Bible, death is comparable to sleep - a state of unconsciousness. When someone dies, their "spirit in man" (which gives human understanding and consciousness) returns to God for safekeeping (Ecclesiastes 12:7), but the person is not conscious during this time.
Key biblical truths about death:
- The dead are unconscious and "know nothing" (Ecclesiastes 9:5)
- No one has ascended to heaven except Jesus (John 3:13)
- Death is repeatedly compared to sleep (Matthew 9:24; John 11:11)
- Everyone will be resurrected at the appointed time (1 Corinthians 15:22-23)

The resurrection process can be compared to reinstalling a computer's hard drive - God will restore each person's consciousness, memories, and personality traits in a new body. This will happen in multiple resurrections, giving everyone an opportunity to know God and choose His way of life.
Eventually, there will be no more death, pain, or suffering (Revelation 21:4), and humanity will be united under God's rule.

Understanding what happens after death doesn't require exceptional intelligence. Rather, it requires openness to God's revelation through Scripture, which provides clear answers to this fundamental human question.
