What Really Matters This Christmas Season...
The most meaningful gift during Christmas isn't found in perfect celebrations or carefully laid plans, but in recognizing God's profound love manifested through Jesus.

"Jesus, please help me not to miss what truly matters this Christmas. Amen."
What truly matters is what matters to God - showing His endless love for humanity. At Christmas, we celebrate God becoming human through Jesus Christ. As Philippians 2:7 (NLT) tells us, "He gave up all His privileges and took on the status of a servant. He became one of us—a human like other humans."
Christmas represents God's ultimate sacrifice born from love. Instead of focusing on creating perfect celebrations or dwelling on loneliness, we're called to notice the Perfect One who made Himself accessible to us. Our emotions and expectations shouldn't overshadow the profound truth of God's presence.
Matthew 1:22-23 (NLT) reminds us: "All this happened to fulfill what the Lord had said through His prophet: 'The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel,' which means 'God with us.'"
God's love isn't dependent on our circumstances or emotions - it's already been decided and demonstrated through Jesus. This Christmas season, the invitation stands to recognize and accept this transformative truth: God's perfect love reaching down to imperfect humanity.
Your response to this love matters more than any holiday preparation or celebration. Will you choose to see beyond the seasonal activities to embrace the One who became human out of love for you?
