Ezekiel served as a watchman, warning of impending danger to his people. While many of his prophecies concerned Jerusalem's destruction by King Nebuchadnezzar, the core message extends to modern times.

Today's world increasingly rejects or ignores God:

  • Many embrace atheism or agnosticism
  • Others acknowledge a higher power but reject the biblical God
  • Some claim religious belief but don't live by God's laws

God's expectations remain clear:

  1. Repentance from sin
  2. Transformation of heart and mind through His Spirit
  3. Genuine concern for world conditions
  4. Active participation in warning others

The prophecies indicate that after a period of severe trials, humanity will finally recognize God's authority. He doesn't desire punishment but wants everyone to turn from wrongdoing and live righteously.

Ultimately, Jesus Christ will intervene to prevent global self-destruction, establishing God's kingdom and fulfilling Ezekiel's central message: all will know that He is the LORD.
